Executive Vice President

 

Summary:

 

U.S. Based multinational with diverse media holdings is seeking a senior-most executive to lead the firm's music and music entertainment interests internal and external to the organization.

​

This executive will lead a global organization with noted music brands as well as the company's internal interests for music across motion picture, broadcasting, entertainment, and digital holdings to include OEM relationships.  

 

Broad current experience with the business and creative intricacies of the global music industry is required as well as a record of success leading a global organization of a publicly held company.

Based: Greater Los Angeles, CA - metro-area

​

Compensation: Seven-figure base with equal incentives, savings, grants and benefits.  Corporate housing and relocation provided based on New York/ Los Angeles requirements. Executive transportation. Real Estate disposition assistance offered for a primary residence. Housing and relocation incentives for EA/COS.  Additional defined and non-defined benefits discussed with qualified candidates.

Duties

​

  • Reporting to a C level executive and board member, this Head of Global Music will lead the Presidents of each respective group and or Country Head.

  • Work within the Executive Offices alongside the Chief Corporate Counsel, Chief Marketing Officer, CHRO, Chief Revenue Officer, CTO, Chief Financial Officer, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications and Global Facilities.

  • Interact with heads of Broadcasting, Digital and Entertainment holdings to provide global music resources and OEM partners

  • Attend corporate and industry events globally to represent the firm's interests

  • Prepare the Division for participation and reporting for the firm's annual shareholder's meeting  

  • Keep the board informed of global business initiatives to include music industry acquisitions

  • Attend the annual global financial conference

  • Represent a portion of the firm's philanthropic endeavors in The United States 

  • Immediate responsibilities will include the building of advanced music technology initiatives in conjunction with the CTO and CHRO.

  • General corporate governance

Required

​

  • EVP or C level related experience in a publicly-traded company

  • Broad international acumen with regard to music, music publishing, licensing, royalties, copyrights, talent representation and business/legal affairs

  • A history of building strong international management teams

  • Travel between Los Angeles, New York, EU, LATAM, ASIA, MENA as required.

  • Broad knowledge of motion picture, broadcast, digital and live entertainment with regard to producing, disseminating and assimilating music globally across all assets and media platforms.

  • A forward-looking posture for AI, VR and Biometrics as they relate to all businesses.

  • Experience with OEM alliances

  • Exposure to M&A, JV, disposition of assets, funding of creative and technology incubators

  • Philanthropic representation in the United States
